Hope Lutheran Covid-19 Guidelines

From the Nebraska Dept. of Health and Human Services Website:

Beginning Saturday, January 30, we are in the GREEN Zone.

From the Department of Health and Human Services:
All Nebraska counties are under Directed Health Measures from March 1, 2021 at 12:01AM - March 31. These Directed Health Measures apply to every health department jurisdiction in the state.

Being in the Green Zone - Guidelines for churches: No restrictions; guidance remains and is recommended

As per the directive from Governor Ricketts the restrictions for the Coronavirus quarantines have been eased. What this means for us at Hope Lutheran is that the limit of 10 people per room has been removed. We will now be able to allow all worshipers in the worship area as long as family units are seated together and at least 6 feet from other family units. We also have overflow seating in the gym with full video and audio, seating spaced 6 feet apart. What we are doing here is welcoming all of you to worship with us in person or you can still worship with us online. As we are still following the regulations that Governor Ricketts has set up. This includes:

  • Maintaining 6-foot distance between family units
  • We will still be thoroughly cleaning everything in the church
  • If you are not comfortable in person, please feel free to wait to come back and worship with us online
  • If you are elderly, showing any symptoms, or been in contact with anybody showing symptoms please stay home
  • Bulletins are printed with all orders of service and hymns so that hymnals are not used

Adult Bible class will be streamed online after church, and physically distanced seating is available in person. Of course, the situation can easily change. As the spread of this virus affects man, please know that Pastor Awe is always available for any questions or concerns that anyone may have. We look toward Jesus our great physician and healer to give us the health and comfort and peace that we all desperately need.

Each document below contains a list of the lessons in each unit, as well as the list of memory work that is to be completed with each unit.

Units 1 and 2 are known as the "Green" units.  These must be completed before a student can move on to the Blue.  However, students can complete the Green units in any order.  Both Bible Overview units contain the same list of memory work, so while the list looks large, the student is given two semesters to be able to recite all pieces.

Units 3, 4, and 5 are known as the "Blue" units.  These can be completed in any order, and each unit contains a unique list of memory work that coordinates with the lessons being learned.

Unit 6 is known as the "Gold" unit, and is the final class for Catechism.  Memory work in this unit is a compilation of all previous units.

Unit 1: Bible Overview 1

Unit 2: Bible Overview 2

Unit 3: Ten Commandments, Office of the Keys, Confession and Absolution

Unit 4: The Creed

Unit 5: The Lord's Prayer & Baptism

Unit 6: Means of Grace, Sacrament of the Altar, Christian Life
